Name |
Abraham Land |
Born |
22 Jan 1781 |
Chester, South Carolina, United States [2, 3] |
- Abraham seems have been born out of wedlock, before Anna and Jonathan Reeves were married. He probably took his grandfather's name to cover up the indiscretion. However, new DNA research shows that Robert McElroy Land has significant DNA matches with other offspring of Anna and Jonathan Reeves and also with many of Jonathan Reeves' siblings, which indicates that Abraham was probably conceived between Jonathan Reeves and Anna Land, but before marriage. There is the possibility of "another guy" who is the father, but there is no genetic evidence of that person at this point. This DNA research was done on Ancestry DNA in 2019 by Robert McElroy Land.
